peace, 2013. it was semi-awesome.

The new year is just hours away and here I am, reflecting. This shouldn’t come as a surprise, as I’m human and let’s face it – we all do this sort of “what will I do differently next year/what was the best part of this year” annual New Year’s routine.

This year has been pretty good to me. I came to Korea with the hope that I would love it and practically never want to leave.

Check . Done.

This was such a big leap for me in some ways, and in others I have felt like I’m just doing what I always do: move. This has, however, been the best decision I have ever made. And it’s still just the beginning. I’m not going home for a long time.

I have big expectations for 2014. I’m going out on a limb and I’m really going to make it about me next year. Because really, a little annual selfishness never hurts. I’m going to do things my way. I’m going to see things differently. And maybe most importantly, I’m going to continue to change my perspective on some things and move on.

Forward.

I am embracing a resurgence of independence.

I hope you find whatever it is you’re looking for, dear Reader. Live on and live intentionally.

2014 is going to be the best yet.
