please tell me you’ve seen this…

Stop what you’re doing right now and watch this. It’s totally ridiculous and strangely entertaining. If you haven’t been living under a rock the last several weeks, I’m sure you’ve heard Taylor Swift’s new single, “Shake It Off.” And if you’ve been perusing Facebook recently, you might also have seen an awesomely awkward opening “dance off” thingy to the 1989 Crystal Light “National Aerobic Championship.” (Also, side note: I didn’t know Crystal Light and their nasty water flavorings had been around so long… Assuming this is the same company. Anyway… Flavor for thought.)

Here’s the best part about these two seemingly unrelated things: someone, some technological genius and entertainment mastermind, has fused these two beauties together for the rest of us mere humans to watch and revel over. My favorite parts? Pay close attention at the 2:23 mark onward – it’s like these two things were made for each other. And my all time personal favorite? 2:54-3:00.

To you, this might be just a big waste of time. (And honestly, it is totally a waste of time.) However, I think it’s a great way to start your Friday. As mine comes to a close, I wish you all the best as yours is starting, Reader.

Now stop doing whatever you’re doing and watch this. You’re welcome.
